How to make your Discord name blank – Quick Guide

Discord is a free application that lets you text-message and voice-chat with other users. In addition to these features, Discord also offers many other tools. For example, you can share your screen, assign custom roles, create custom invite links and add reactions to messages.

Before using Discord, you must first create a Discord account. You will be asked to choose a username during this process. Your Discord username can be changed at any time. You can also set a display name for specific servers.

This is separate from your username. Your display name can be different across different servers, whilst your username is bound to your account regardless of servers.

How to make your Discord name blank

Sometimes, you may wish to leave your username blank as a method of making yourself invisible. There are also ways to make your profile picture invisible.

This would make you difficult to find in places like the server members list. Making your Discord name blank can also help protect your privacy, especially in larger servers where you’re not familiar with everyone.

You can make your Discord name blank in both Desktop and Mobile. Making your Discord name blank is fairly simple to achieve. You just need to replace your username with the special symbol ˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞˞ .

Discord is unable to showcase this symbol, so it ends up being invisible. Keep in mind that you can only make your username blank using this method. You cannot make your display name blank by changing it. If you leave your display name empty, it will default to showcasing your username.

You should also try to avoid changing your username too many times in succession. There is a limit to how many times your username can be changed within a certain time frame. If you’ve reached the limit, Discord will not allow you to change your username until a certain amount of time has passed.
