Here, we will mainly focus on the TikTok app. However, the process for making your likes private is very similar across both platforms.

Making them private

In order to make your liked videos private on TikTok, you must first go on your likes page and make sure your likes are currently public.

Launch the TikTok app and select the profile button in the bottom right. This will open up your profile page.

On your profile page, there should be four tabs available. By default, you should be on the first tab, which showcases all of your public TikToks.

Look at the third tab, or the tab with the heart symbol. This is your likes tab.

You can press on it to view your liked TikToks. If the tab only has a heart symbol on it, your likes are currently public. If the heart has a crossed out circle next to it, your liked are already private.

If your likes are currently public, select the three lines in the top right. Then, press on the ‘settings and privacy’ option to view the settings.

Next, select the ‘privacy’ option.

Scroll down until you see the ‘liked videos’ option, and press on it. Then, select the ‘only me’ option to make your liked videos private.

Now, exit out of the settings and return to your profile page. Look at the likes tab to see if the heart now has a crossed out circle next to it.

If it does, it means that the likes are now private. You should still be able to view all your liked videos. And, you’ll still be able to find someone else on Tiktok and like their videos too!

In conclusion, you can make your TikTok likes private from the privacy settings. You can access these from your profile page. Simply set it so that your liked videos are visible only to yourself.

This way, you can stop other people from liking videos and you’ll be the only person that has access to them.
