How to go Live on TikTok Without 1000 Followers

On TikTok, you can record and post short videos, or livestream by going Live. When you go Live, you can view comments in real-time and receive donations in the form of TikTok gifts.

In order to go Live on TikTok, you need at least 1000 followers on your account. However, not everyone has 1000 followers on TikTok. If you still want to go Live despite not having enough followers, there is a way to do so.

How to go Live on TikTok Without 1000 Followers

Before you attempt to go Live, make sure that the ‘Live’ option is available to you. If it is available to you, you should be able to go Live already. If you still can’t go Live despite this, then read on. If t he ‘Live’ option is not available to you, read below to see how you can go about asking TikTok to add the ‘Live’ option for your account.

Open the TikTok app and press on the profile icon in the bottom right. This should allow you to access your profile page. Press on the three lines in the top right, and choose the ‘settings and privacy’ option.

You should now be in the TikTok settings. Scroll down until you find the ‘support’ section. Beneath the support section, there should be an option labelled ‘report a problem’. Press on the option.

You should now be on TikTok’s request form. Scroll down until you find the ‘LIVE’ option, and select it.

Then, select the ‘I can’t start a Live’ option.

Underneath the ‘is your problem resolved’ heading, select the ‘no’ option. Before you do this, just make sure that you’ve read the guidelines about starting Lives near the top of the page. In order to start a Live, you must be at least 16 years of age.

If you wish to receive gifts during Lives, you must be at least 18 years of age. If you satisfy all of these requirements, you may proceed. Otherwise, you may get rejected for not meeting the requirements for starting a Live.

Type out your request, and add any images that may be relevant. You should also type out your email, which they can use to get back to you. Then, when you’re finished, press the ‘report’ option. After sending off your request, wait 2-3 days for a response.

How to Discover Lives on TikTok

You can discover Lives on TikTok quite easily. You can find them through a the search function, or access them from the ‘LIVE’ option on the homepage.

Open up the TikTok app and go to the homepage. You should automatically be on the homepage when launching the app.

If you’re not, you can access the homepage by pressing the home icon in the lower left. Once on the homepage, look in the top left corner for the ‘LIVE’ option. Press on the option to start viewing a Live TikTok stream.

You can scroll through the Lives by swiping up and down on the Live TikToks. You can also go on the user’s account page by pressing on their profile icon in the top left, and pressing their profile icon again on the tab that pops up.

Alternatively, you can access Lives by searching for them using the search function. Return to the TikTok homepage and press the search icon in the top right. Then, type out your search in the search bar, and press the ‘search’ option when you’re done.

There should be a row of tabs available beneath the search bar. Select the ‘LIVE’ tab to filter your search results to showcase Lives only.

Press on a Live to view it. If you can’t see someone’s lives then there may be an issue with the app. Or, you may need to unblock them on Tiktok first.
